Diwali: Festival of the Lights

Diwali , a festival to celebrate the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, is one of the most popular celebrations in India.

The Festival of Lights includes fireworks, food, gifts, colored sand and special clay lamps.

This year, at our centers, we choose to celebrate Diwali Day with our children, learning about the world and the festivals around it encourages our children to become Global Kids. They had a lot of fun with Indian music, doing arts and crafts, they loved to try the Indian cake and cookies.

Halloween Spooks 2020

Samhain, Halloween

Samhain, is the Irish word for Halloween. In fact, it is here that Halloween originated, coming from ancient pagan tradition of the transition between autumn and winter.

Our Children in Hyde & Seek had some real spooky fun with all our Halloween activities across all our crèches. We were busy in this month creating our scary and fun Halloween arts and crafts.

We ended our Halloween celebrations in Hyde & Seek Childcare with a dress up party. The children loved getting dressed up in their costumes. Playing dress up and role play helps children with the development of their brains through engagement and helping with their memory, as well as allowing them to use their imagination in such a creative way.

The screams of delight and laughter throughout all our centers was such a joy to hear.

A brand new crèche for Glasnevin

!!Update on build progress Hyde & Seek Glasnevin!!

Things are progressing on the site of our new creche. The site has been cleared and we are excited to announce we have commenced construction of the new building. The actual construction is just one element of the project and we are busy working away on those other things that need to be done to bring our dream together.

Based on current progress our planned opening date is mid 2017.

We are excited to announce that we are opening a brand new, purpose built crèche in Autumn 2016. The crèche will be located at Hart’s Corner, Glasnevin.
We have been working hard alongside our architects to design a crèche to set new standards in childcare facilities. Using our knowledge, built up from almost 20 years of successful openings, we will create an environment designed to enhance the day to day experience of both our children and staff. When children are happy they will learn and develop more quickly. Our rooms are designed to each specific age group. Our outdoor areas will encourage growth, exploration and learning through a combination of outdoor play and activities such learning about the environment and caring for the gardens.
